Worldwide Regulatory, Epidemiology & Safety

Asking people to trust us with their health is a huge responsibility, one that we take extremely seriously. The Worldwide Regulatory, Epidemiology & Safety department is committed to ensuring that every one of our vaccines meets the highest standards of industry practice and safety.

The department covers four main areas of expertise:

  • The Technical Regulatory team develops regulatory strategies for new and life cycle vaccines based on sound science. Working in conjunction with regulatory authorities such as the World Health Organisation and the FDA, this team manages the registration and maintenance of licenses for our products worldwide.
  • The Worldwide Vaccine Registration group is responsible for submitting vaccine registration dossiers and following up with health authorities worldwide.
  • The Safety/Pharmacovigilance service oversees compliance with all internal and external regulatory safety requirements. It's also responsible for safety evaluation, risk management, and detecting safety signals.
  • The Epidemiology team provides essential input to the design of our clinical research programmes. It helps anticipate clinical safety issues that may arise both before and after approval, as well as evaluating what markets might benefit most from our products.

To join this department, you should have a master's degree or higher in life sciences, along with practical experience gained within a regulatory, epidemiology or safety environment. You'll also need the communication, influencing and negotiating skills to effectively liaise with a variety of regulatory authorities.
