Worldwide Clinical Development

Operating in a truly global capacity, from Rio to Singapore, Germany to Nigeria, this department is responsible for the clinical development of our vaccines. This involves everything from setting up and monitoring clinical studies all over the world, to developing study protocols and creating reports.

But our approach is as much about people as statistics. We believe in partnering with local hospitals and universities so that clinical trials can be conducted in the region where the vaccine will ultimately be used, usually in the countries with the greatest clinical need.

Aside from encouraging self-help, this enables us to vaccinate and monitor a large number of children who might otherwise have only limited access to healthcare. It also helps to facilitate a more efficient registration process in regions where demand is greatest.

The department's priority is maintaining a standard of excellence in all its clinical studies, reflected in a high level of expertise, good clinical practice, and scientifically sound results.

The people who join us tend to have a first degree in life-sciences or a related field, or a medical degree. They also have some pharma or biopharma industry experience and ideally a background in immunology, infectious diseases or microbiology. In addition, fluency in English and the willingness to travel are very important.
