Traineeship and Work Placements

We take great pride in being able to support students at all levels in their education, from secondary school to PhD studies. Although there's no formalised traineeship programme, we do accept CVs (resumés) for consideration by all kinds of department managers, from R&D and clinical affairs through to Marketing, HR, Finance, IT and other support functions. 'Stages' is the name of our internship scheme, which is managed by our recruitment and mobility department.

Placements can run for anything between three weeks and six months. Although this depends on department needs, your study schedule and the stage that you're at in your education.

If you'd like to apply for consideration, you can email stages (rix.ugstagesbio@gskbio.com), which will then forward your details on to the relevant department. If your application is successful, you'll undergo a medical examination, before we draft an agreement between GSK Bio and your educational establishment.

Allowances

Unfortunately, these placements are unpaid, although some travel expenses may be supported. Similarly, foreign students or those who live a long way from our sites may receive some living support for the duration of their placement. Please discuss your needs if you're invited to interview.
